(BOOTLEM) RUNNING A DREAMCAST BACKUP, W/O A MODCHIP, OR A BOOT DISC

I’m streaming a patronage on a NTSC Sega Dreamcast that was manufactured in August of 1999. I hit heard that Dreamcasts manufactured after the assemblage 2000, are unable to separate backups without modchips or bootdiscs. However, whatever feature that this is not true. I cannot establish that evidence simulated or valid, the exclusive artefact to encounter out, would be to essay digit yourself, on a 2000 — Dreamcast.   4. I just bought 50 Sega dreamcast games on ebay for 25 bucks that’s with S&H.And one of them was Dead or Alive 2. You guys are wasting your time downloading that shit.

  7. As far as i know, only the last group of manufactured dreamcast had blocked the option to load games without chip.

  8. im not sure but no matter what region you have you can use a boot disc which can be written on a cd-r to boot backups on any dreamcast. just search utopia boot disc.

I just wanna know since DCs can play backup games, does this mean that it can override region lock?? say ie my DC is NTSC-J and as of typing im downloading a NTSC-U Sonic Adventure, would that play on a Japanese DC since it is on CD-R after all…. Coz my PS2 is the same it is an HK PS2 yet can play backups and NTSC Js, though not PALS… please answer me

  12. i have a November 2000 dreamcast model and run backups just fine…. its not an import model either… so that rumor is not true… ^_^

  15. I have 3 dreamcast systems , only flaw i see in dreamcast. I wish people coverter the japan text in importer games to english, so we can play them.
