[HOW TO] PLAY PSX (PS1) BACKUPS ON PLAYSTATION 2 SLIM
Yes, it is true. Using Free Mcboot and the PS2 Slim, you crapper rush PSX backups. Watch the recording and wager how cushy it is. Pre-Reqs: * Playstation 2 housing (slim or fat) v9 and higher. * A PSX mettlesome (real), and a hardback up PSX game. * U-Launch Elf round (only if you don’t hit Free mcboot installed). * Swap illusion 3.6 or equal (mod-chip is ok too) * Free Mcboot Package. i can’t play the game. When i press x it say not the psx disc, can u help me?
Go to wkipedia and look up playstation2 . There is a list of model numbers there. – Versatile
im not sure how do i check which version it is
@joker27359 : Is your PS2 fat version 9 or above???? – Versatile
i did this exactly how u said on my fat ps2 and right when i swap and press x it wont spin can u help me?
@gamedexterity Ah ok, thanks for clearing that up.
@Joskun : 1) Why take the slim cover off of a slim ps2 for? You just need to install sensors if using swap magic. 2) If using ESR, patch the games with ESR patcher and then free mcboot with ESR will boot the games for you. 3) If using FMBC, blocked sensors not required. – Versato;e
Great tutorial man!!!
I have 2 questions though, did you have to patch the backup with ESR disk patcher?
Also I’m thinking on taking the slim cover off when I’m loading Magic and installing FMCB afterward.
Now say i’m done with FMBC will I sill need the sensors blocked when swapping the original psx with the back up psx??
@crazyskater1614 : Thanks for the kind words. I am already successful relatively speaking. This whole youtube thing is just a side hobby, and I love making tutorials.
The current tutorials on youtube about this subject just suck. I know how hard it is out there to find GOOD information. I have come to break that mold. Enjoy your PS2 man. See my new network video on the PS2, you will like it. – Versatile
well choke my chicken and spank my monkey…..I finally got this to work thanks to you. Finally someone explains it clearly…….you will be successful in life
BADASS. damn son
No idea, that is weird. PSX launcher works with V9 and above.
P.S. i have ps2 75003 (v14?) and FreeMCboot instaled into MC
mines just spins that backup and wont load anything (black sreen always). But it plays that backup fine if ill swap quickly orinal game with backup(non PSXlauncher method). Thats weird..
well if it works ill let you know
PSX saves must be saved to a ps1 memory card. I never messed with ps1 saves before, but I suspect method is same. – Versatile
i was wondering since with free mc boot and ps2 save builder we can convert de regions of the game how about for psx saves can u convert dex drive saves to your memory card using free mc boot?
Only the ‘a’ and ‘b’ date code of v15 works. – Versatile
hey my ps2 slim is above series 9 and it works
Only one thing to do: Burn it to DVD+r, right? – Versatile
wow dude thanks for making the video its great
Booya.
LOL
@InvaderTAK16 : Yes, the hardest was I never knew this existed. All this time I had a slim that could play PSX games, and I didn’t know about it until last week and I had the ps2 slim for 2 years now.
