The trace exposure and soldering are the most difficult parts. Put the camera on a tri-pod and just shoot at an angle zoomed in. Turn off the camera’s auto focus and just dial it in manually.
Why don’t you scrape the traces before you stick down the FPC on the mobo like the instructions say?
Wear an ESD wrist strap connected to a conductive mat that you work on, ground the whole setup. The electronics you are handling are very sensitive to ESD, and can be damaged easily.
